[INFOGRAPHIC] What’s in your dance bag?

Basic Essentials Every Dancer Needs for a Summer Dance Intensive!

I love myself a good intensive. This summer is my fourth summer living outside of New York City after living in the Big Apple for 14 years. With the exception of some summers spent in Italy and Spain dancing and studying abroad, a summer back and forth between NYC and Philly while working on a PhD and the couple of summers I went home during summer break as an undergraduate student, I’ve mainly spent my summers in NYC for over a decade.

Now that I no longer live in that concrete jungle (which I still visit from time to time), I have had the chance to delve into dance around where I now live, the San Francisco Bay Area. This summer I attended the premiere of Alonzo King LINE/Ballet’s Adult Summer Intensive in San Francisco. Did I say I love a good intensive?

Now one would think after all of these years of dancing, I would be a pro at packing my dance bag. Even though I have what I want on-the-go, down to a “T”, when its crunch time it is easy to forget a thing or two, even when I pack in advance. If you are anything like me, consider this handy infographic. It’s something you can hang by your mirror as a daily reminder, by the door so you see it on the way out in morning, print and fold up or minimize and laminate so you can keep it in your dance bag (or download it to your phone) to ensure you always have the necessary essentials.
